A “released” event confirms departure from the reporting facility. It does not rule out another county jail, ODOC, ICE, or another authority. A “transfer” event means custody movement and should send the search to the named destination system.

Read Stephens County VINE Events
Each event answers a narrow question. Release means the person exited that reporting facility. Transfer means the person moved within or beyond that system. Escape, apprehension, and death are separate event types and should never be relabeled as ordinary release.
For a local jail event, request the SCSO jail-register entry and release log for the actual date or manner of discharge. Review the Stephens County court docket for the legal authority, such as bond, dismissal, sentence, or time served. If ODOC appears as the destination, search the state record by ODOC number or precise identity.
A court order can authorize release but may not capture the minute processing ended. VINE can report an event but is not the jail’s original register. The records complement each other.

One Oklahoma-specific gap occurs when a person transfers from ODOC to a Department of Mental Health facility. The same caution applies to ODOC. The state lookup may show custody or supervision facts, while VINE supplies an event notice. Neither should be used as a substitute for the other.
Stephens County Registry Limits
Oklahoma’s sex-offender and violent-offender registries are narrow post-release sources. They cover only people who must register under the governing law. They are not substitutes for OK VINE, the county jail register, or an ODOC record, and they omit people outside those statutory groups.
A registry result can show published identity and registration facts. Active status means the person is serving a registration period, not necessarily parole or probation.
